Terms and Conditions
When you arrive at No More Kennels you will be asked what your Pet is fed on. Although we stock a vast choice of pet foods, it is your responsibility to make sure we stock what your Pet is fed on. We strongly recommend your Pet be kept on the same diet. If we do not stock the food you feed, we would normally request you bring enough for the duration of your Pet’s stay. Supermarket bought dog food is provided within the price of each suite. If you bring your own food, there will be no reduction in the room rate.
Most dogs will not sleep during the first few days, it is very exciting playing with the other dogs and it is as though your dog has been on a 24-hour walk, this is exhausting for your dog and if your dog will not stop playing we will have to send it to their bed, in cases of exhaustion we will administer multivitamins and increase the amount of food given, if your dog is losing weight due to exercising more than usual we will increase the amount of food given. Please be aware that your dog will be extremely lethargic when they go home, this is normal as they are constantly alert when experiencing new places, your dog will need plenty of rest when they go home, please do not worry they will be back to normal after a couple of days.
BEHAVIOUR – Clients agree to provide No More Kennels with full and detailed information about their dog(s). In particular, the client undertakes to make a full and frank disclosure on the booking form of any matter, fact, or characteristic concerning their dog(s) which might impact on the care of their dog(s) including, but not limited to, behavioral or health matters, anti-social behavior including aggression, separation anxiety, destructive behavior, excessive pulling on the lead, propensity to run away on walks or from the home/garden, incontinence, phobias or fears, excessive loud barking or whining. If your dog is a danger to other dogs the appropriate authorities will be informed, if your dog needs to be kept away from other dogs then you must inform us of this. We reserve the right to refuse admission without prior notice.
Should the dog(s) show aggressive behaviour to a dog nanny or their behaviour becomes uncontrollable or a nuisance beyond reasonable acceptance, the dog(s) will be placed in an alternative safe environment and any additional costs, including a £50 transfer fee, will be met by the owner. We will first ensure the dog is safe within the hotel with adequate food and water, if the dog is in extreme distress we will call you and explain the circumstances. As a last resort, we would recommend that a family member come to collect your dog, or a trained dog handler come and take the dog to a kennel facility. The client further agrees that if their dog attacks, or is involved in a fight with another dog, (and/or person) causing injury to that dog (or person) they will be responsible for any losses incurred thus including, but not limited to, payment of veterinary fees in respect of injuries to another animal caused by their dog.
We accept dogs that have not been spayed or castrated. We will do our upmost to keep male and female dogs from humping and we put blue ribbons on boys, pink on girls. We do not accept dogs who are in season although if your dog comes into season whilst staying here we are not responsible if she becomes pregnant. We will try to keep this from happening however if you do not want puppies please have your dog spayed before their stay.
CCTV – We are not responsible for CCTV connection failure, this is provided by HIK – VISION and we have no control over the service they provide, all complaints regarding CCTV should be made directly to HIK Vision.
TOYS – We cannot guarantee any bedding or toys will be in a condition suitable to be returned to the owner and are left at the owner’s own risk.
PET INSURANCE – Every dog must have valid pet insurance, proof of this will be required.
VACCINATIONS – On your Pet’s arrival at the NMK we will require to see a current vaccination certificate. This must show a booster vaccination having taken place within the last 12 months and signed off by a qualified Veterinary Surgeon. The certificate must show the booster having been administered as part of a course of vaccinations. Dog Vaccinations must safeguard against the following diseases: Distemper, Parvovirus, Hepatitis, Leptospirosis and Parainfluenza.
KENNEL COUGH –All dogs must have a current Kennel Cough (Infectious Tracheobronchitis) vaccination at least 4 weeks prior to arrival at kennels. This is NOT part of your annual booster vaccination. If you are in any doubt, Kennel Cough vaccines can be identified on your vaccination card / certificate as ‘Intrac’ (which lasts for 6 months) or ‘Nobivac KC’ (which lasts for 12 months Please note that the infectious bronchitis vaccine does not give 100% protection against tracheobronchitis (kennel cough) and the owner takes full responsibility for this, we will not be liable if your pet catches kennel cough or becomes ill due to their stay at No More Kennels.
All animals will be examined on arrival, any animal showing signs of internal parasites (fleas, worms etc.) will be treated and a charge levied for this. We also reserve the right to refuse admission to any pet which, in our opinion, is showing signs of ill health or aggression.
MEDICAL CONDITIONS – If a dog has a medical condition of any sort, we must be notified at the time of booking. If we have not been notified of such a condition or course of medication, we reserve the right to refuse admission.
We may use over the counter products to treat your dog for minor injuries, allergies or sickness. All dogs will be checked upon leaving the hotel in front of you, it is now that you must discuss any concerns regarding your dog’s health. You will be asked to sign to show that you witnessed your dog being checked before they left.
If your dog becomes ill, we will make the decision whether your dog will require veterinary treatment if you disagree with this please give instructions below.
FLEA TREATMENTS – All dogs must be covered by a known flea treatment, such as ‘Frontline’, ‘Stronghold’ or ‘Advantage’ before they are boarded. These products have varying lengths of effectiveness. Animals that arrive with fleas will be administered such a product and charged accordingly. We do not accept any responsibility for dogs who catch fleas whilst staying at No More Kennels.
When a booking is made, a fixed date on which the owner will collect the dog(s) will be agreed. If the owner wishes to collect the animal before that date, they may do so but will remain liable to pay boarding fees up to the agreed collection date.
Should the Emergency Contact specified on the booking form not be available during an emergency, agreement is given to No More Kennels to make any decision necessary regarding the dog’s health provided it is acting in the best interests of the dog(s) and is on the advice of a qualified veterinary surgeon. All veterinary bills incurred during the period of the booking, as well as other incidental expenses such as transportation costs to the veterinary surgery, will be paid by the owner. Transportation to the veterinary surgery will be charged at a cost of £25.00 per dog per round trip.
If any dog is not collected, or the owner or emergency contact have not contacted No More Kennels within 7 days after the due collection date stated on the booking form, it will be considered that the dogs have been abandoned and No More Kennels reserve the right to place the dog(s) with an animal charity. Any costs incurred will be the responsibility of the owner
Whilst all reasonable precautions will be taken, and we pride ourselves on the care and attention that we give to our guests, we do not accept responsibility for damage or loss to any persons, pet or property.
